The oil stock mentioned yesterday snm had a good day. Will probably keep on going up today. I had an incredible 29%+ day a couple of weeks ago with it.

Hope they will be the sponsors for a new watch :p

Should be classed as income in the year as opposed ( as capital held for under a year) to capital gains. Then agin tax is different in different places and changes often

Hello and thanks to everyone who has been following my thread. I am not going to be able to post any picks until Sunday. I just closed escrow on a new property and have been in the process of moving all my belongings to the new pad.

Cheers,

Hello guys!!! been a while.. Anyways, today an idea of a trading strategy came to me out of nowhere while eating alone at chipotle mexican. So i got home and started brainstorming on how i could put the strategy to use and i think i got it down to the T. so what better place to test it out.

The process of analyzing 1 company took me close to 2 hours. but if it works, it could pay up big time. Since it takes hours to analyze a single company, i only had the time to do one.

Here it goes: SHORT / SELL

Panasonic (PC) $5.10

The strategy points out that the price will go down at least 1.16% and if the stock gains more than $0.02 cents it's a losing trade and you should exit the trade.

Hopefully tomorrow i can research more companies and post more than one.

I assume you sold the same day, the 19th? It gained a few % points then nose dived on the 20th...proving that your strategy is indeed correct for this one example

Interesting thread you started Mr. Krabs, definitely gave me a few ideas as to what else I can look at other than the blue chips, small cap telecoms, and pipeline companies that I typically follow.

How do you feel about the MLP sector? For instance like EPD, PAA and KMP...

Hope all is well.

Welcome back. Congrats on the YM2. SS or precious metal? Do post pics when available

Man, I need to get to know this trading stuff. All my older colleagues talk about it, it sucks when they ask for my input and I just shrug.

Mr. K - or may I call you Eugene - thanks for taking the time to share your pics with us. I'm pretty conservative and want to "buy and hold" so your info is just what I need.

Do you have an opinion about bond funds? More than half of my portfolio is in mixed bond/mutual funds. I'd had a lot of faith in PIMCO but PTTAX has been doing poorly for some time now. That's been sort of a wake up call that while I'm reasonably young (50) maybe I need to move more money into stocks.

Keep on posting, and I'll keep on learning!

Lisa you are too young for bonds. Stay in low fee index funds that track the market. Vangaurd is a good start. Roth IRAs.
