Which Sub?

Well,
Seems like there's been a lot of questions lately about picking a specific Rolex.
Here's one:
If you had to pick between the Black Sub,with it's classic looks, and go anywhere styling, and the Green LV,with the Maxi-dial and green bezel which would it be?

I'd have to pick the "kermit". I like the look of the green bezel with the black face. Thats just my opinion though.

Something about the LV that just draws me in, but I would probalby wear a black sub a lot more. Tough choice, but I'd probably end up with the black.

forgive my newbines but what does LV stand for??? the green is nice and different but i think the black would go better with every thing you could possibly need.

I love the maxi dial of the LV, but still have not warmed to the LV part yet (Lunette Vert = Green Bezel) so my personal choice would be the reg 16610. Better yet give the SD a try, who knows you might like it :)

What about the option of buying the LV and swapping out the bezel to black? Then you get the maxi dial and the classic bezel. Sorry all, between my Pam and the extra bezels for my GMT, I end up wearing a different looking watch almost everyday.

Gee Daren we have similar taste. Rumour has it that the LV bezel is different to the the Submariner's Bezel in the fact that the bezel inserts are different which will not allow bezel insert changes.

I don't know if there is any truth to the rumour but we might be able to get Mike to remove the Bezels on his watches and see if he can swap out the Bezel inserts.

Cheers Aaron.

BTW. Kermit for me just for the Maxi dial.

Seems to me I remember reading somewhere you could swap the bezel, but the insert was different. I might be wrong.

Tell the truth,I'd be afraid of screwing something up if I tried it.

The aftermarket ones you can buy on Ebay will fit,you can try the green insert first on your own Sub,to see if you like the Kermit. If not you can revert
back to your normal sub,and it has not cost you a lot to try the feel of both.
just remember to change back to original for a service etc.
