Looks like an early Chronomat made between 1984-1996.

Not sure what is worth but look on the case back for a reference #(might be A13407 or A13408) and then look online for similar watches and their asking prices. Breitlingsource.com is also a helpful reference.

I'm going to say it needs service and doesn't have a pilot which you may want -- its nice.

1k isn't bad imo if the watch is straight.
