Yaaaay....I now have an extra GRAM !!
Well, according to the chart below, the Sub-date should weigh in at 135 grams. The other day I weighed it on a very sensitive electronic scale and it came up as 136 grams. So I can only attribute this additional gram to the hologram perhaps?

The extra gram is trapped body hair and dust JJ and the extra brass in faked watches.

I just read a story in the paper that said some Chinese manufacturers of fake Rolex Submariners were making their copies just a little heavier than the real thing.
The article recommended putting your sub on a sensitive electronic scale to ensure the weight is consistent with OEM standards of 135grams. Anything over, is obviously a fake. |

It's the battery in JJ's watch.
That is why his Quartz is so accurate.

JJ, shame on you! Don't you know it's not a simple case of dumping the watch on the scale? You're supposed to weigh it overnight in 6 different positions (crown up, crown down, you know the drill) and take an average reading!

I am amazed that Padi, Rackness and I all posted within the same minute.
Glad to see no one wants to give JJ an inch of breathing space. |

John, you know what JJ can do with one breath - why would we give him the opportunity?

You know James your possibly very right..... the time is checked in all 6 positions and weight also, which I believe I heard is due to the different positions of the torsion bar regulator, it causes a weight differential when in any of those 6 positions for more then 6 hours apiece.
believe it or not.. ... .... .... ;o) |

You can always send it back to Rolex under warranty, or wait until you get it polished to shave a gram off

I think
JJ forgot to screw his trilock crown and the extra gram is due to the water inside there.
The Sub need to send back to RSC immediately. |

Frans thought he had an extra gram too. Turned out to be a few extra seeds.
