No one knows. Obviously, Rolex have different printers doing their dials and each one tends to choose his own kind of particular font.

Trust me, John, the Chinese wouldn't lose "a bit" in translation....they would lose a helluva LOT!!

But a "font type difference" is a MAJOR fact that goes against a "series production"...only if it was a custom order etc...otherwise, there is not explanation...
Btw, Did you see any other Sub with this typo already besides yours??

Well, if you see the very start of my post, both my recent Subs have had the flat "S" font. There are quite a few of them going around - flat and round "S".

Makes no difference, Renato....both are genuine!

I'm not discussing anymore about being or not genuine...just because all the ones I saw and keep checking after you told about it have the round "S"
Check it out some....even the SDs

Maybe the flat "S" was something special or a specific production

Nothing special about the flat "S"....just a conincidence as my other thread title suggested. Here's a pic of my former SD...notice the round font "S".

BTW, there are quite a few flat "S" fonts in the Subs going around. Eventually, you WILL come across one!!
