Chopard

One of my favourite watches, a bit of an underrated brand. The L.U.C. 1.96 calibre is a work of art. A bit out of my league, alas.

I don't like a lot of their jewellry and some of their watches just don't do it for me at all. That said, I'm a big fan of the Mille Miglia chrono series, and the one pictured above is a beauty!

Agree Frans like that watch a lot,but prefer SS they make some great, and some IMO simply awful looking watches.

That's a superb dress watch, Frans....love the tiny rotor at the back and the starburst dial.

One of my favorites too. Chopard makes some magnificent movements. The LUC 1.96 and the LUC Quattro are a couple of my favorite movements in watch-dom. I'll only buy them after I have a couple of Pateks in the drawer, though.

For people who prefer sportier watches, they make some nice pieces around their cheaper LUC 4.96 movement. It's a shame they don't put their own movements in those chronos they sell.

What? I don't believe it, JJ making a blanket statement about something one way or no way? I am in shock. NOT!

C'mon John, I always pictured you as a "Happy Fish" kind of guy....LOL!

I agree, some of their stuff just makes me shudder, but that is a nice watch, and the Pro 1 diver they have is also quite nice.

Oh I have a 'Happy Fish'... I just don't like to flash it around watch forums.
