Am sure he knows, if not someone made serious coin selling him fugazi.

First of all, I think the whole ceramic hype is waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy overrated. The 116520 is just as nice as the 116500 IMO.

That being said, white dial for sure. The contrast between the dial and bezel works better.

Get a grip guy. Your watch is fake

Since I have a collection and good rotation of watches, I don't really need the versatility, and simply put I just find the white to be more fun.

Where did you buy this?

Ceramic Daytona 116500 black vs white - which would you choose and why?

White is definitely more photogenic and after a while it evoked too sporty a look. Yes the contrast is great but it isn’t a 6263, if that’s the look you want

Black shines in the metal...subtle yet aggressive...docile from afar but up close it oozes charisma. It also appears larger of the two

If they both costed the same, I would go black....and so that was my choice in the end

The big fallacy on these forums are “well I have black dialed watches, the white one will round out the collection.” But I think one should buy whichever watch is the best version...and for me it was the black. The white look got pretty boring after a while, while the black still is the most versatile in the long run

I agree 100%. I wanted the white and I was offered the black first. Did not allow myself to appreciate it as much at it deserved at first. I waited 1 1/2 years for the white. I was ecstatic when I first put it on. The next few days I started getting a different feeling. It was too much of a contrast, too loud, too narrow focused look. Then I brought my black and started looking at both next to each other. The longest I looked at them the more I liked the black over the white ( and I like white dials a lot ). I have not worn the white much while the black gets plenty of wrist time.
Now the white Zenith Daytona is a whole different story.

Black not even close. White looks tacky.

I have both. The white dial framed by the black bezel shows how small the dial is. However the black is doing exactly what you said. It makes it visually appear bigger than it is. It’s an optical illusion but that’s the way it works out.

I’ve always had my eyes set on a white dial. Not just because I have too many other black dial watches, but the white dial just pops more. I can also see the movements much easier than the black dial version. Can’t go wrong with either one

I would choose WHITE, it just shows the beauty of the watch a lot better black is too basic and for most people who like to play it safe with colors.
