Ceramic Daytona 116500 black vs white - which would you choose and why?

The title says it all - give reasons for your choice.

White. I like the bright white contrast and panda subdials.

I prefer the white dial. In my view it pops more, is more legible, and is more unique.

That said, I’d absolutely love a black dial Daytona as well and have been actively looking for one.

White, I even said if a black came in first, someone else could have it! Lucky for me!

White. I think white pops out better with the contrast. I also think that I need to branch out from black dialed watches in my collection.

At retail, Black. At secondhand prices, neither... I’d get the WG on oysterflex.

White dial as I found the black to be unreadable.

White dial for me. I’m next in line at my AD and if the black dial version shows up first I’m probably going to pass. Having said that I will have to see it in the metal first because they both are stunning.

I was never a big fan of the sport models and just recently picked up my first (116519LN). If I had to choose from those two models, I would go with the white just for the color contrast.

I choose Black (had my choice) as I simply prefer black dial watches on sport watches. The white sure is a looker though!

Black. Originally I wanted the white, but once I saw the black in person it sealed the deal. The black is a real stunner on the wrist.

White. Like many here, I prefer the stark contrast on that model.

I'm on a list for the white ceramic and received a call from my AD over the weekend asking me if I would consider the black? I said, umm why? sourcing it is a lot more feasible is what he said. I said I'm not sure I want to settle on the black as the white is my crown jewel. Now he's got me thinking though...

Both great.

Black has an awesome more monochromatic design. Black and silver only.

I’ve heard this from several ADs. Is the reason that Rolex is producing more black Daytonas?

White, The only white dial watch I like so easy choice. Many other color dials on other watches to choose from.
Pretty sure a poll for this already exist.

Own both and prefer black. The black is such a cool look and hard to beat for me. It’s probably my favorite Rolex! Also I’ve owned many black Daytona’s over the years as well as white ones and have never had an issue with legibility.

White. It looks cooler and more classy. The white just pops.

I slightly prefer white but I've never seen the black in person so I'm not completely informed.

I've seen pics of people doing Oysterflex mods on the D500 and I think the black dial looks better when it's on Oysterflex.

I got a white one. The black is nice too as I tried it on too, with all back bezel and dial, it gives an illusion that the black is smaller than the white. So it's up to your taste. Can't lose basically
