Icon5 Truth or dare

Truth or dare, the dare being that you have to tell JJ how much you like the PO! Which of you Submariner or Sea-Dweller owners actually uses their watch for diving? Huh?

Second question: do you use your Sub or SD on a rubber or Nato strap?

Take care,

Frans.

Well I have used both SD and Sub both used with bracelet, but still prefer my Citizen Promaster a much better all round diving tool, and I really do like the PO.

Does having a bath with a SD on count as diving ! The bath was filled really deep.

And I must admit I do like the OP.

No, it's not. The primary function of a dive watch is to measure time, not to tell time

The primary function of the time lapse bezel is to measure the time. And I still like the PO in that unmentionable colour bezel

Nope, wrong again. The primary (and only) function of a watch such as the Sub or SD is to display the time. A primary function of a watch like the Omega Seamaster 300M Chrono Diver (depth rated to 300 m) is to display time and a secondary function is to measure time using the chrono operations.

It's quite obvious after reading this entire thread, that some of you are dead drunk and don't even know what you're saying!

So I shall do you all a favour by posting this picture below....that should knock off some of the stupor and tell you in simple words that a watch like the one below displays time, tells time, reeks time, speaks it out loud and clear to me at all times and can do all of this at 2,000 feet below the sea....

In that case, you don't want either a Sub or an SD. What you need is one of these (Omega X-33 Speedmaster Pro), which has both an up counter (i.e., chrono) and a countdown timer (to tell you when your time is up and you better start back to the surface ASAP).

OMG, I scrolled down to Frans' response to my post and I didn't even get to this stupid Pumpkin pic when I replied to Frans. Then I saw that thing and nearly vomited all over the keyboard. I would have made you pay for the clean up if that had happened.

You are 100% correct, baldie. That thing REEKS alright.

Isn't there a thread on this forum I can go to that doesn't have a picture of that THING!! Good grief, Charlie Brown, you are driving me totally around the bend.

We must beg to differ Frans, the minute hand would still work, but is not a
lot of good without a time lapse bezel.

You just have to make sure that when that happens, you are on shore within range of a jeweler who can swap out the battery. Then you have to spend the next 30 minutes resetting the time, date, and UT time and date. Ah, the things we watch people have to go through periodically. Life's tough, ain't it.
