Scratches
Hi all
What is everyones view on scratches ? Do you worry about them ? Get them fixed at the full service ? A watch should be worn in my view |

On the clasp, scotch bright pads are a very common fix for scratches. A quick Fourm search will advise on how to vet rid of them in various ways.
This board is very full of knowledgeable people ! |

I personally fix scratches as get them. The scotchbrite pad and cape cod cloth will work wonders.

can't really avoid scratches, no matter how careful you are. I'm sure the first one is the most difficult to deal with.
I have managed to put on a small scratch on the crystal of my 3570.50 within the first hour of wearing it.... |

If you wear your Rolex watch every day, it will get scratches ..... it adds character to your timepiece.

I have the scratches polished on a watch when I first get it, but I don't mind the scratches that I put on myself.

Minor scratches add to the character of the watch in my opinion. That said I do try to be careful with my Submariner and Seamaster to keep scratches to the minimum - but you cannot avoid them.

I've always been fussy and like to keep my bracelets, particularly the clasp area reasonably scratch free:
Not hard to do. 5 minute job every few weeks. Glad I have the rubber strap for aqua hobbies. |

as soon as I bought my watches, I replace original band/bracelet with cheaper leather band so I don't have to worry about scratches on the band and buckles
when I resell band is as good as new |
