Day Beaters?
I am looking for a day beater.
Which is better? Oris (Williams F1 / TT3) or Ball Watch (Trainmaster)? Any comments on the accuracy of Oris? |

No comments on accuracy, but I know both are respected brands. Also both oris and ball make some cool watches.

Ball....
Never have been happy with Oris customer service. Ball is a great company to deal with.

It is true that these 2 brands make really cool watches. Classic or sporty as it should be.
I have gathered from forums that the accuracy of these 2 brands varies from chronometer standard to sometimes over 10 secs per day. Different watches may have different accuracy standard. It seems that it is pot luck that your purchase is of chronometer standard if you are lucky. |

I think both are very respectable watches. Pretty nice "beaters"! I love the two Oris Divers I have... but the Ball is possibly a better made watch.

My former Oris TT1 WorldTimer was a nice watch that kept consistent time. I hear Ball is a nice watch as well.

It`s all simple matter of taste, they are all well made watches. My friend was selling Oris watches in the past, and he never had any issues with any of them. And, I`ve heard that Ball is slightly better when it comes to build quality.
Movement wise - it`s all the same, good, old ETA movements ...

I just bought a ball ionosphere and it is top notch. The fit and finish is up there with the best of them. It is well within COSC specs. However, I don't know much about Oris or the trainmaster. Good luck with your decision and be sure to post pics.
