So, I have been out of the Rolex game for a LONG time...I am not feeling the 'newer' maxidials as much as the older versions that I lusted after for so long.

Have the older SD, Sub, GMT models been out of production so long that it is going to be near impossible to find one of those models new from an AD?

Does anyone happen to know where I might be able to get one of those - I have interest in all three (or, more accuratley, I can not decide at this point which of the three I would take!).

Any direction would be much appreciated! Regretting that I sold my 'old' SD several years ago these days!!

Contact some of the big sellers i.e. Davidsw, justrolexes with what you are specifically looking for. You may want to call some local AD's as well.

If they are out there these guys can find them source them.

I just picked a BNIB SD 16600 a few months ago, I was able to get it from one of the sellers in the classifieds. I'd give one of them a shout, maybe they could help you track one down. If you are set on going to an AD for one I say you try reaching out to an AD in a small market and you may have luck. I live in the NY/NJ area so trying to find new old stock is pretty hard. also, i had thought the 'new' sub had the same bracelet as the GMT II....is the polished center link only on the GMT and not the Sub?

The only difference is that the newer sub no date has an engraved ROLEXROLEXROLEX rehaut. It also still has an all brushed bracelet and lugholes

There is a place by me that has new Subs 16610 and SD 16600 models at reasonable prices but they do not ship through the Internet, but i have bought there myself and they are very good to deal with.

The current 14060M also has the two additional "Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified" lines on the dial. The previous version was rightly famous for its unusually (for Rolex) minimalist look, but that's been out of production for 3-4 years now.

I was still seeing new two-line 14060Ms here and there last year. I haven't looked recently.

No date subs are still being produced with the old version case, not using the new version larger case.

The new subs do not have polished center links. They are all brushed links, just like the older models.

am i alone in liking the more retro, minimalist bracelet, dials, font sizes - particularly on the sport models?

i hear a lot of enthusiasm for the new look...and they are nice...but when i see them side-by-side next to their parents, my heart just immediatly flutters for the older models!:)

of course, i also felt that way when comparing to true vintage pieces also!

I saw a AD with two 16710's & a 16610LV M series, but that was about 6 months back. Best if you contact some of the TRF sellers.

I picked up a GMT Master 11 pepsi from Cyprus last year. So they can be found but you do need to look hard.

you're not alone, I love the older versions, it took me a while to hunt down my SD, trying to hunt down a pepsi now, good luck w/ your search

The older models have their fans just as the newer models has it's fans.
