Money Ball and Orchids....
Random thoughts for the day...and one of these might get me beat up
Saw Money Ball last night! Great Movie. Rotten Tomatoes had it as 96% or something and it was right on! Also... I have sucessfully gotten 3 Orchids to RE BLOOM! In the past when ever I'd buy one for the wifey or the house it seemed like they were almost throw away plants because I could never get them to rebloom. Ah the simple pleasures in life. Anyone? Ok FLAME AWAY!!! |

I read the title as "Money, Bail and Orchids". Somewhat disappointing read...

Mickey, what kind of orchids do you have? I grow orchids a long with succulents and tropical foliage plants and you must meet their care requirements to get them to rebloom. If you can tell me what type of orchids you have I can give you their care requirements!!!

I've got them blooming now!!! I took them out of the pot and "aired out" the roots and cut off any really dead looking "roots" then I put them back into same pot and used a little Orchid fertilizer and BOOM! |

Yes, you have a Phalaenopsis(moth orchid)orchid which prefers bright indirect sunlight and is an epiphyte. Use distilled water when watering and you are correct in using a fertilizer formulated for orchid use. They like high humidity but do not spray them with water. They are one of the easier types of orchids to grow in the home because they adapt very easily to your home's environment. And I have quite a few of them and have recently bought miniature Phalaenopsis orchids.
