It looks to me from the pictures to be a rollerball but it's hard to tell from the photos. It also looks like the resin barrel has the MontBlanc Guilloche star logo as a pattern and if so it would be the Meisterstuck Solitaire Doue Signum. And the cap is platinum plated over stainless steel ...I believe. You can always go to MontBlanc's web site for further details and also you can check out The Fountain Pen Hospital's web site as well. It looks to be a very nice pen and would have a suggested retail of $670.00.......
