Zenith WW2 Pilot
Up for sale is my 1945 Zenith Pilot. Case is all stainless steel, original untouched dial. No repaints or re-lumes here, ALL ORIGINAL. Hands are Zenith and service replacements from the 1950s. The best news is the watch has been serviced this year, spring of 2012, and is keeping excellent time. Crystal was also replaced and looks great. The movement is a Blancpain 12.4.5.6 made for Zenith from 1945-1947. Only 3600 of the 12.4.5.6 movements were made and only a fraction of those survive. The case back is a real stunner on this one. Nice deep engraving and the main reason I purchased the watch in the first place.
The watch is 33mm and comes with a 1960s, NOS Horlon fabric strap in RAF blue, red, and white. I'm asking $250 for this little gem, shipped, conus. Tiny bit more if you're international. Jblavender@gmail.com Original seller's image highlighting the dial further.
