I guess this is the first time Rolex update their webpage near a month before Basel>>

I believe they are very proud of the new model.

Now the True Story Revealed...

Ah...now we know the "rest of the story"...

-- Newswire - hold until release - embargo until 3 March 2014 20:00 UTC -4/+6 sec. --

Rolex employee 'leaves prototype of new GMT11 in bar’

The staff member was reported to have been drinking in a “tequila lounge” in Geneva, when the much-anticipated GMT11 went missing in February.

Selected employees are allowed to take prototypes of new models outside the watchmaking giant’s secure testing laboratories, to ensure they work in everyday settings.

The loss prompted a frantic investigation by Rolex executives and Swiss police to recover the coveted GMT11, according to WoS, an authoritative not-owned-by-Rolex Rolex seller.

Rolex reportedly contacted the bar repeatedly to stress the GMT11 was “priceless” and must be returned. But it is then thought to have secretly tracked the watch to a small auto repair shop in Sweden.

“Before leaving the shop, the Rolex employees offered the tattooed man money for the watch no questions asked,” according to the report, but “the man continued to deny he had knowledge of the GMT11”. It is thought the watch may now have been sold on Chrono24, the listings website, for a Jillion dollars.

The incident is likely to prompt renewed scrutiny of Rolex’s internal security procedures and forced the company to release details of the GMT11 on their website a month ahead of Baselworld.

Rolex declined to comment. Swiss police said no police report had been filed. The owner of the tequila lounge, told reporters: “I guess I have to make my drinks a little less strong”.

I just talk to Gretchen Dorfwils at Rolex HQ in Geneva and she says she will show the backcase at the Basel fair.

As usual they only shows a bit.

Tha last I heard was the staff member doing "the helicpoter" outside the bar.

Is that watch 1 of 1? If so, how did Rolex get a picture of it? Was it on loan from watches of Switzerland.

Forget the PP 5711 or the 18k YG GMT IIc. This is now at the top of the list...

Wow! The GMT-Master 11.

How time flies.

Nine iterations and change from Roman to Arabic numerals in what....

Wait. How long have I been asleep?
