Can some help on this 1675?

This is a 5.3M 1675.

Wondering if the dial is original?

Is this a gilt dial? I guess not?

Thank you for your help.

Agree, looks good in baggie :-) But can't tell about lume or if hands replaced. 5.3 is way to new for gilt, 1.5 is about the end of the no chapter ring gilt dials. m

Welcome to the forum!

It is not a gilt dial. It would not be proper on a 5.3 mil year production.

Looks like a Mk-5 dial but would prefer to see a better picture with all the writing exposed (and not in the baggie).

Looks like a very nice watch!

What are those brush or swirl marks in the red part of the bezel insert--has it been treated in some way to look faded...

Mark V Dial

Is it a desirable dial? Or just a common dial?

Is it normal that insert is polished?

it is OK, but I prefer a gilt dial and I think the red bezel was treated somehow.

cheers,

No. What people are saying is that it looks like the insert was worked on to give it a fake patina, trying to capitalize on the vintage aesthetic.
