Through Rolex it isn't something that can be done... you would have to go through a non-official dealer, which would void the authenticity of your watch.
Good luck!

I have been told by my AD that if you buy a Daytona and then decide that you don't like the colour of the dial, you can return back to Rolex and they will replace the dial for you.
If you return it after a short time of doing it then the AD may swallow the charge.
Any later and a charge equilavent to approx £100 will be made.
And if thats the case I don't know if they would send you back your old dial to keep.

I think it would devalue it because my paperwork states white face!

Since Daytona's fetch a premium price, sell your Black dial and buy a White Daytona?

if it states on the paperwork the original dial, then you would have a problem in changing as you would change the "specs".

Wow, that sucks! Must be the strict policy of RUSA again!

Anyway, as stated, in Europe you can normally have the dial exchanged for free within the first year. I was given this option when I owned a black "Zenith" Daytona.

I'm looking at getting a SS DJ for my first Rolex and the AD's I have spoken to all have said that, in the UK at least, you can have a dial swap done free of charge if within the first 3 months.

If you have this done does anyone know whether you get some official Rolex paperwork stating the change so your original paperwork does not look wrong?

There are threads about people buying dials and using good independent watch makers to make the swap. Try doing some searches here on TRF. You see dials for sale and while not cheap, they are out there. Just keep the white dial and you have no worries....

If I remember, a lot of people feel like the white dial is a harder read

In fact, a quick search brought this up for $800.
