My collection of 4 - but...

Hi All,
TRF has become my daily newspaper, and I thank you all for the passion and insights shared.
Owned 20+ pieces in the last 3 years, consolidated down to PP and as follows:
5205 / 5726 / 5712 / 5167
I am not loving the Aquanaut, I do have an opportunity to trade that plus the 5712 and cash for a blue 5960, that would leave the collection down to 3.
I am not looking to add many more, but to settle on a well balanced 3 or 4 within the PP stable.
So I open this up to all of you for some pearls of wisdom!
Warmest regards and wishes,

Nice PP collection
Since you have already had 2 ACs, how about trading the 5167 and 5726 for a 5960P?

You'd have three strap watches. It's good to retain at least one bracelet Imo.

My collection of 4 - but...

I'd dump the aquanaut (don't wear mine much anymore....). I'd look to the 5960 1a. Thats a lot of calendar references!

The 5960 1a would give you a bracelet and a white dial to go with the others. Great line up btw.

Have to agree with Mike to have one bracelet option. Also, I personally would not want three ACs. I like the idea of trading the 5726 and Aquanaut plus cash for a 5960/1A.

Trade away if you have the itch...nothing like watches just sitting unworn.

+1 for this option. That would round you out nicely.
I also would look to a rose or yellow gold piece, but understand your personal preference.

...and no one seems to be arguing the all-Patek collection...neither will I!

Great collection!

I would move the 5726 before the 5712, keeping the bracelet option, the blue dial and the 240 micro movement.

All great pieces

Ill third these fine gentlemen's ideas. It seems like you have an affinity towards sportier watches (me too). The 5960/1a will give you a great reference, and be a nice complement to your existing collection.

Thanks All, white dial would be a good addition but the 5960 1a doesn't speak to me like the 5960 platinum blue face. No love for this one?
I am open to some other radical ideas too so lets hear em!

Do it. You already have another nautilus and if the Aqua isn't signing to you, then punt it.

Not gonna lie - the 5960p blue face is gorgeous, does giving up all your bracelet options worry you in the least? It seems like you go from 3 choices (bracelet, strap, rubber strap) to 1 choice (strap) and that might have more of a detrimental effect to your variety than you might be aware of intiially.

All great pieces
I agree. Only other suggestion I have is the 5960p black dial and punting the 5726 and 5167 + cash. I really like the sporty look of the black dial and it seems to be of lower production than the grey or blue dial pieces.

an alternative could be swap the 5205 and 5726 for the 5960P

So you end up with
5712/1a Bracelt choice
5167 Beater choice
5960P Dressy calendar (semi-dressy)

I also like the other idea presented of swapping the 5726 and 5167, but u also need a watch that u feel comfortable taking on vacation or sport related stuff. I have my Hulk I just took for Christmas vacation , no sweats.

Good luck

I was also thinking this, or the 5205 and 5167 for 5960p. Then you have a nice mix. I am of the minority that think a nautilus on bracelet and a different nautilus on strap are two totally different watches though

WOW very cool foursome, you have 3 that I would like to have, well 2 because I have a 5712, but would love to have a 5726 and 5167, and I'm not into dress watches but the 5205 is a very nice piece, huge congrats

About the trade, if you don't like the Aquanaut ok, I love my 5712 so can't imagine trading or selling it 1 second, but if you don't like it very much why not, if it was me I would trade the 5205 and the Aquanaut, the 5960 blue dial is really beautiful, but in your foursome, the 2 I least prefer, though I love them all, are the 5205 and 5167…

Anyways let us know your decision

+1, I would definitely keep the 5712, for many reasons but this one being a major one...

I love the 5960P. I say get rid of the 5167 and 5726. Then you will have the 5960p, 5712, and 5205.

I would suggest getting rid of the Aquanaut and one of the two Annual Calendars. Put some extra cash and get the 5960P in blue or black. Finally add some more cash and go get a SS Rolex.

You will end up with the 5712 in bracelet, one annual calendar in strap, a platinum chrono with annual calendar, and a trusty Rolex for all kinds of activities.
