Tudor ETA movement

Howdy all. I've been thinking of buying a Tudor Black Bay, and noticed they have an ETA movement. Don't get me wrong; I've got plenty of ETA watches. I'm just wondering if Tudor re-work the ETA movement for their purposes? I love the look of the BB, but the money seems high for an ETA, unless they modify it. Any info appreciated, as I'm new to Tudor. Cheers

They say they do, and they always have. My older Tudor Sub (1979-80) with its ETA has always been an excellent watch, and my new Pelagos has been scary accurate after 3 months. I think ETA movements are pretty robust, and when properly regulated keep great time. I feel confident in saying Tudor tweaks it when they get it.

I tend to buy a watch on looks and feel.
The Tudors i have recently purchased are great on both counts, I am unable to see the movement whether i'm wearing a Tudor or a Rolex so for me its not that important.
The watches are pretty pricy but the quality is there in spades and its well worth it. I considered another Rolex after selling my Sub 16610 but have no regrets in going for 2 Tudors for the same price.
I still love Rolex and have no complaints about them, i may even get another one some time, but for now Tudor is doing what i want a watch to do, look good, feel good and tell the time well.

Thanks guys, and especially thanks for the link Friar. That's what I was hoping to see. I have only recently seen the BB subs and I think they look amazing! I especially love the red version. A trusted seller here in Oz has a S/H as new blue for sale on eBay ATM for what seems like a good price. I think I'll go and check it out.
