newbie GMT owner
Hi guys
New to the forum, although i've been watching for a while now. Just got myself a 16700 GMT Master which i'm over the moon with. Bought it from my father who bought it new in 1999. I think the clasp has been changed at some point and also, it has a nasty little scatch across the top of the bezel, which i will replace when it goes in for it's service. Hope you like. Thanks, it's nice to be here. Does the clasp look like the correct item? I know the GMT 2 has a smaller clasp than my one.

Welcome to TRF, Paul. I can't say enough good things about that great watch. If you've read any threads on this forum you know that the all black GMT/GMT-II is my all time favorite watch.
So a hearty welcome and stick around to participate in this madhouse we call TRF.

That's a great watch there, Paul, and a big welcome to TRF. Apparently, someone's swapped bracelets on you because that one's the larger Fliplock bracelet which comes with the Submariners. The GMT should have the Oysterlock bracelet which does NOT have the extension links as the one pictured above has; and the Oysterlock has a much shorter clasp (see pic below).
Cheers - JJ

Welcome to TRF Paul. Yes that's a nice watch and I think you could be high on the list for adoption by Ed.
