Next Purchase :D

Hi Ladies / Gents,

Looking for my next watch purchase... was going to ask you guys for opinions.

Currently i have:
1) ROLEX Batman
2) ROLEX Hulk
3) Tudor Black Bay Red (in house)
4) Tudor Heritage Chronograph (Grey Dial)
5) Omega Dark Side of the Moon
6) Seiko Cocktail Time

I have a ROLEX DAYTONA Ceramic on white dial on the waiting list (should be around 5 years wait according to local AD). So thinking of getting either of the following for now, what are your opinions guys:

1) ROLEX MILGAUSS Z Blue
2) Tudor Black bay Chronograph (Baselworld 2017)
3) Seiko Presage Automatic Chronograph SRQ023

Currently I am inclined to purchase the tudor black bay chronograph and the seiko presage automatic chronograph over the ROLEX Milgauss as both of them should still come cheaper than a new ROLEX Milgauss alone?

What do you guys think?

Do you have time to wear/rotate your watches enough to warrant buying another? I have 3 (Rolex, Omega, Tag) and haven't found a rotation that works well (one always sits in the safe for long stretches). I can't imagine having 6 (and maybe 7).

That said, if it were me, I'd get the new sky-dweller since it's different than most other watches already in your collection.

Cheers
Robert

milgauss blue is a cool watch that provides some nice variety.

Sell the Tudors and the Omega and buy a DaytonaC on the secondary market.

I think one BB would be enough, I'd get the OP, blue or rhodium, if the Milgauss is a stretch.

Agree with your current stance. The enamel is just stupid gorgeous on the Presage and the Black Bay Chrono is apparently an acquired taste but one that I have the taste for.

Omega DSotM. I think it would round out your collection nicely, plus it's a killer watch.

Ah, the first list is the ones he has. I thought those were the choices he was considering. Reading comprehension:

Nice collection. Kudos on the cocktail time. One of my favorite back stories for a watch.
My vote goes to the presage enamel dial. I mean it's a crazy price point for what the Swiss charge beaucoup bucks.
Z blue is a great watch, but save the $3k and go with the Seiko.

The Tudor was not well embraced here on its release, for what that's worth. I don't know enough about Seikos but unless it is already depreciated I'd likely stay away. That leaves the Milgauss but personally I'd think your collection would do better with a DJ(41/II?) or even a new Exp.

I agree. Have a look at the OP 114300. Fantastic watch and I think it will compliment your collection well.

You have a very nice collection and I like the new Tudor Black Bay Chrono. I would need to try it on and see how it looks in person. I just purchased the new Tag Heuer Autavia and could not be more pleased. The fit is great at 42 mm and the watch actually wears just a bit smaller. I heard about case thickness based on the in-house chronograph movement but can say it is not thick and all of my Tudors have a thicker case. I bought it on the rice bracelet and it is very comfortable and gives the watch a cool retro look in my opinion. Just and option to check out.

Thank you for sharing gents.

Hmm... choices choices. Maybe i will go for seiko first since i am lacking of a good "classic" dress watch.

I just found out that in the baselworld ROLEX released a sky dweller in stainless steel.

But for some reason i dont find it to pop.

Cannot wait for the daytona in white (still very far behind the wait list). :( it has a certain uniqueness which is classy for me.
