Submariner Black or GMT mASTER
I recently did an opinion poll about a Submariner used Steel and Gold that I intend to buy if black or blue. But one of the foristas told me that black is better in the GMT Master. Then I started to see the GMT Master on the Internet and it really is a very cute watch. Now I would like to share with my friends in the Forum a survey. Which model do you like the Black Submariner or the Black GMT Master? The two in Gold and Steel.
Well .. this last one is only manufactured in black I think. Thank you for your opinion. |

Just my opinion but I feel the GMT should always have a splash of colour (Pepsi, Coke or BLNR) and the Sub should be in black.
Their natural liveries in my eyes! |

It's really too close to call. For me, it would just depend on what else was in the collection and in what metal.
If we're talking a one and only, then I will usually vote sub, unless you have need of the travel function of the GMT. |

I prefer the black Submariner and two colored bezel of the GMTs. If I had to pick between the two I'd go with the Sub for a daily wear.

116713LN, the nicest TT Rolex has ever made imho. I always come back to wearing this one.

It depends on how you are going to use the watch. If you have need for a GMT that answers the question. The bezel on the GMT has more on it and if that appeals to you, OK. The only other significant factor for me is the Glidelock Clasp on the Submariner. It is worth the price of admission and makes each wear perfect. Now the Easy Link system on the GMT is more than completely adequate but not the Glidelock. It is all about personal preference. I do see less GMT's than Submariners around.

Well, I don't have an opinion, but at least I learned a new word today. You need to buy what you like, not what anonymous Internet people tell you to like.

I'd say it would depend on functional use...
Besides that the Sub is probably more historic, the glidelock clasp is pretty awesome, but if you travel a lot, the GMT timezone function will be useful. Good luck. |
