Anyone Disappointed by Nesbit's
Hello all. New member here.
Has anyone been disappointed by Nesbit's in Seattle? I just received my SMP back from service and was a little disappointed by the refinishing. I know there's controversy over refinishing. To polish or not to polish, that is the question. I'm not talking about a vintage sword hand 300. This is a 2220.80 Co-Axial SMP. I live in the NE area and after reading several posts on different sites about the terrible service from Omega in NJ, and reading many good things about Nesbit's in WA, I decided to ship my SMP across the country. I cannot say enough about the customer service. Jan is wonderful! She took the time answers all of my emails and questions. I purchased the timepiece second hand and although it had a pedigree I questioned the authenticity of the date wheel. Nesbit's authenticated the date wheel, and they still replaced it at no additional cost. That my friends is customer service! Herein lies my issue. The refinishing or lack thereof was quite disappointing. It's like I just had the engine rebuilt on my car but paint is peeling off. In the past when I've sent my watches to Breitling and Rolex they come back looking almost new. Obviously there are nicks, dings and dents that cannot be removed, however polishing and/or brushing makes them less conspicuous. I guess I was just a little taken aback when I still saw some swirling in the bracelet and fine scratches on the case, especially on the underside of lugs presumably from when the bracelet was reinstalled. It almost appeared as though they didn't refinish the watch at all. Then you begin to question "well what else didn't they do" |
