New Member Introduction
Hey all!
Finally joined officially after years of browsing and learning from all the great posts on here. I purchased my first Rolex in 2006 after working my first real job for two years, but I've been in love with watches since childhood. I have purchased a total of four Rolexe pieces (Oyster no-date SS; DeepSea black; Datejust SS silver dial) and one Omega Seamaster. All have since been sold (except the no-date, which my wife wears) because I rarely wear them. I get anxiety when wearing anything more expensive than a Costco-bought Invicta. I regret selling each one and so I'm back on the forums and trusted dealer websites drooling over photos and debating starting a collection. Life is short and I was hoping my watch obsession was just a phase; but true love lasts forever I'm afraid. Last week I broke down and bought a vintage 16800 Submariner thinking I would be less anxious about damaging it since it already has some "character" marks. So far I've only worn it for about 2 hours. Nevertheless, I feel compelled to buy a DeepSea again. Oh look, the prices have gone up.  Hi. My name is Mario and I am addicted to watches. |

Welcome. I have a few watches and wear them by rotation. Of course my watches show scratches from daily use. Initially I was worried but now got used to it. I am more happier wearing them rather than keeping them aside in a safe place.
