Incoming 15500ST!

Just wanted to share my incoming from Tuesday of this week, and I am absolutely over the moon with my first step into the AP family! Photos simply do not do the grey dial justice (which I’m sure is the case for the other dials as well!). In any case, it’s worth a shot and I know we all enjoy a pic or two :)

Watch looks awesome but to be honest, I think pics does do watch justice and most APs look better in pictures than in real life.

Thanks so much everyone! I was a bit nervous that I wouldn't have the wrist for it, and went back and forth several times between the 15500 and 15450. After trying on the 15450 ~4-5 different times and the 41mm Chrono once, the boutique manager finally convinced me that the 41mm was the right one and I pulled the trigger. What a relief and rush of excitement the first time I put it on and it was a perfect fit!

I might agree for some models, but not this one. Capturing the absurd level of finishing or way that the metal and dial play with the light is just not possible with a photo (at least with me taking the photo). I've quite literally not been able to stop staring at my wrist for 5 days now. It's getting sort of embarrassing.

To each their own though

Beautiful pictures. Any struggle to choose between black / grey?

Not for me, but I suppose it depends on tastes and what else you have in your collection. I had some concerns about legibility and contrast on the grey dial since I wasn't able to view one in the metal before buying, but I could not have been more wrong- the grey dial is extremely easy to read from any angle, and I think its a direct result of the AR coating that our beloved Rolex watches lack.

First off, congrats! Beautiful piece.

When I picked up my 15400 black dial I compared it side by side with a friend who had the 15400 grey dial. In pictures and in real life, I found in my opinion the grey dial seamed washed and a little underwhelming and left me wanting more. The black dial on the other hand pops and contrasts beautifully. Same could be said for the blue dial but unfortunately here in Canada the blue dial was even harder to get.

Wow, that does look great in this pic particularly - a very strong sales tool for the grey dial! I think the size is perfect too, not too big, not too small.

Thank you!

It would be interesting to put the 15500 grey dial next to a 15400 ruthenium dial. The 15400 and 15500 present overall quite differently in every color, and while I've seen this done with black and blue, I've not seen it done with the grey variants. In any case, in a world of black and blue dialed steel watches, I found the grey dial to be quite a bit more playful and unique to my eyes. I love it, and variety is the spice of life, as they say

Thanks so much- it was certainly underrated in my own mind as well right up until I had it in my hands! I knew it was the right variant for me, I just didn't know it would be THIS right :D

Thanks for the compliments! Size wise, my wrist is flat across the top and 7.5" in circumference. It feels absolutely perfect to me

That looks incredible! I’m torn between the grey and the blue dial, I can get a blue in the same timescale as a grey.
