Gifted a Rolex

With all these fine women gifting their husbands wrist art, I'm wondering who else has been gifted a Rolex?

I have read about many celebrities that have gifted each other Rolex watches!

Go!

Did you have them wrapped and then surprised when you opened them?

My wife gifted me my first rolex, a BLNR, on our wedding. BLNR was my grail and I decided to hold off on purchasing the watch due to the big of expenses of a wedding and buying a house.

Th gray did a great job wrapping them... nothing fancy but it was wrapped in multiple layers. Little disappointed I didn't get a card..

My fiancé at the time, now my wife, gifted me an SS white dial Daytona when were in Hawaii celebrating our engagement... The crazy thing is that I was looking for an SS Daytona in an AD for about 7-8 years but can never find one. Couldn't believe I was able to find one in Maui of all places...

My cousin helped Michael Buble with a song for Buble's father. He was gifted a white faced steel Daytona.

Here is a bad picture of Alan playing during a concert with the watch in view.

Other than that, my father gave me his IBM DJ, and I gifted my SubC ND and BLRO to myself.

I just gave my brother white dial Daytona last week for birthday. The one on the right as you can tell it still had stickers on it. It was removed by ad prior to delivery

I have gifted 2 Rolexes to my wife.

She knows not to gift me one because I'm too picky, and I tend to know where the deals are at (or used to anyway!).

Gifted a Rolex

My wife 'gifted' me a GMT Master 16750 for our wedding - I admittedly had a hand in helping select the watch. She surprised me and had it engraved.

My wife’s milestone birthday gift to me. She made sure that she knew before I did, when it became available.

I gave a very good friend of mine a blue shantung 1500 (1970) for his 35th birthday. He was surprised, to say the least. Freshly serviced, too! And it’s significantly older then he.

Note: Personally, I hate the word “gifted.” GIVE and GAVE and GIVEN are perfectly good words. Interestingly, the Oxford English Dictionary lists “gifted” before “gave”, historically. Sigh. Round lost.

I gifted my wife her Rolex, and have ordered a rose gold Daytona for her 40th later this year

Gifted my son a birthyear speedy for his 18th and Tudor BB58 for his 21st.

Daughters 18th is coming up, not started thinking about it yet!
