Breitling celebrates with revival of Navitimer

April 03, 2009

For its 125th anniversary, Breitling has revived its legendary Navitimer. Launched in 1952, this timepiece soon became an iconic object and has remained so to this day. With its exclusive chronograph movement, certified by COSC to 1/4 of a second, and centre 60-minute totalizer, this Limited Edition is embellished by the highly original Air Racer rigid bracelet with holes, a tribute to a modern design icon that dates back to the 1960s.
During its 125 years of manufacturing, Breitling has remained faithful to its passion for chronographs and its inherent link to aviation as the ‘official supplier to world aviation’.
This Limited Edition in stainless steel is equipped with an automatic Breitling 26 Calibre, COSC-certified movement that functions at 28,800 vib/h. Hours, minutes, seconds, date, chronograph to 1/4 of a second, 60-minute and 12-hour totalizers functions, a rotating bezel with circular slide rule, convex sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, black dial, water-resistant to 30 metres.
This model is a Limited Edition of 2009 pieces. There is also a Limited Edition of 125 pieces in 18 carat red gold with black or mercury silver dial.

i've always liked the navitimer, it's busy as hell, but in a good way - where you can still tell the time at a glance. not sure about that bracelet though.

Sweet--I love the original Navi. Agreed that the bracelet is suspect.
