Did all of the day date 118238 come with the new style fat buckle and solid links

Did all the 118238 come with the fat band with solid links? If not does anyone know when they changed, being with what letter.

Nope, started around 2004 I believe, although not every watch with the same serial is the same...I think F and forward should be good but I’ve seen a few F serials with the old buckle. Haven’t seen a D with the old one but I could be wrong.

No, from ~87, they went R, L, E, X, N, C, S, W, T, U, A, P, K, Y, F, D, Z, M, V, Random, so K is likely pre-2004.
