Day Date II 218235 RG diamond

Tried this same watch yesterday at the grey dealer (photo not mine). Magnificent watch though I am not really into diamond dial. Curious if any owner here? Anyone know how much was its list price? Thanks

Picked up mine about 3 1/2 years ago for 28k full set.
I see them on Chrono24 for 40k no box papers, which I know is overpriced but still.
Love it! Even though DD40 is definitely more proportionate, just love the idea of having the “big face” president and that it’s discontinued.

IMHO nothing is overpriced.. especially after the 5711 madness, I think 40k asking price for the discontinued and unique movement and shortest production DD series, even without box paper, that is a very fare price tag on that DD2.

I agree here, I actually feel the dd40 is dry underpriced on the grey market. I tried on a DDII the other day, white
Gold with sapphire and diamond markers, it was very nice. Also a very different look to the DD40, looked a bit strange to me but I’m used to looking at the DD40 your eyes would adjust after wearing it for a while.

I actually like the bold design of the DDII, impressive compared with the arguably more proportional DD40.

Me too .. I own both DD40s and DD2s .. I personally find DD2 more special and it stands alone as a design while DD40 feels just like an upsized DD36. Mine you, take a look around.. DD2 are VERY rare beast in the wild. I have seen tons of DD36 and DD40 but I hardly seen any DD2 around.

Looks like diamond dials get become more popular these days, from Platona to Day Date.

DD40s are not underpriced as before. Bloody expensive now. Look at DavidSW listings.

Gold Watch prices are soaring at the moment. RG SkyD is freakin $47k!!!! WTF.

YG DD40 he used to sell for $27-$28k BNIB. They are all $35k now.

RG DD40s he used to sell for $28-$29k BNIB. They are all $37k now.

Look like prices of modern gold Rolex continue to be up. DD40 RG Olive is now high end of 30 approaching 40, or 6-8k increase from last year.
