We went away with six couples in October. Two people (both cancer survivors and not spouses) came up positive a week after we returned. They both had the cocktail and felt better 24 hours later. My wife and I also came up positive a few days later. Being inoculated our symptoms were very minor, but the bride still has no taste or smell.

Wishing you the best Don.

Start taking vitamin D3, zinc and magnesium yesterday. I had terrible symptoms for the first 3.5 days (these 3.5 I only took d3 and zinc) I watched a YouTube video from a chemist that said vitamin D3 won’t synthesize in your body if you’re magnesium deficient. As soon as I started taking magnesium my symptoms started subsiding. I take those three vitamins on top of my men’s multi vitamin and a BC powder a day. The BC powder works for me as it’s pain management but also prevents blood clotting, if you don’t need the pain management a baby aspirin will suffice according to my Doc’s. The aspirin is to keep your blood from clotting during and after the infection, I was told to take aspirin (bc powder in my situation) for at least two months after infection to prevent the blood clots. I have known people who died, people who have been hospitalized, people who work in the hospital and people who have fought blood clots after infection (even if it was mild).

Get well soon Don, we all have a zoom call to be on tomorrow evening.

Yeah, that's unusual but exactly what happened to a friend who works at one of the local watch boutiques. He got it in October 2020, pre-vax, from a co-worker who made a series of decisions that led to a whole bunch of people getting infected. My friend still can't taste/smell most things. He said the things he can taste/smell are "wrong," and he can't confidently say that it's getting any better. Thankfully that happens to very few people. And I hope the bride doesn't mind how the groom smells if/when she recovers fully.

I truly appreciate all the best wishes, and I can report I am feeling a bit better.

I can add, that here's a case fully vaxed and boostered that did not stop the spread of the virus.

My senses of taste and smell have been affected, literally gone, and hopefully I can retrain my brain....

Kick in the pants part is, my diligence to protect myself and others was unwavering, as I continued to mask up and sanitize obsessively. Not an unprotected second out in public for years. Only, in my home did I let my guard down and unexpectedly, it walked in our front door. My oldest had been in NYC to a huge party, unknowingly must have picked up the bug, (he too masks and observes).

Looks like quarantine for the duration for me....

Again, thanks for all the kind words.

Guess, I am the true Hockey Puck!

I guess that the good news is that the vax has kept you out of the hospital with more severe symptoms.

Best of luck to you and your son!

Wow, sorry to hear this Kevin. Here’s to a quick and full recovery.

My wife and I just got the booster. I was planning a trip to see the kids in NY but I think I’m still gonna hold off. I live in a place where there are more chickens and cows then people, so, so far, so good.

Thank you as well Rich!

It’s a tricky one for sure!

We also live in a semi remote village, and I hardly spend time off my property…. I’m going no where near large crowds or the big cities! This sheltered life did however made it easy to determine the source….

I’m more bored now then anything….with the lingering dizziness.

My thanks again to you and everyone keep your guard up!
