Milgauss in Maui

Just returned from a visit to Maui. Me and a friend have made it a little game to share wrist shots when we are out and about somewhere special, so I figured I'd share what I shared with him while on my trip.

Snorkeling at Baby Beach:

Garden of Eden on the Road to Hana:

Twin Falls on the Road to Hana:

First off, beautiful watch, glad you had a great time! Second of all, I’m going at the end of July, I have similar skin to you, did you get burned badly? I’m really nervous about that, especially with the snorkeling which I want to do

Enjoy it! Yea, I knew I would be sweating and covered in sun screen, so figured the NATO would be good to try and reduce that sliding back and forth on the wrist vs the bracelet.

Congrats! You are going to have a blast. To answer the burning question, I got sunburned on day 1 even after caking on the sunscreen (shoulders, back, neck, top of feet, back of the knees). I snorkeled everyday even after getting burned and just used one of those SPF fishing shirts when I was out there. Helped a ton.

Agreed! Fits right in with adventuring (well, any oyster cased Rolex does to me).

I do! This is my "only watch". I do have a SKX and some G-Shocks from way back in they day, but I don't wear them.

Somehow it works for NATO strap for your intent and purposes. :)

I had my Milgauss in Maui too! Love the watch and love the island.
I never thought about putting it onto a nato, but i like the look. Have you tried it on rubber or any other straps?

Love the look of the Nato on the Mil. You didn't want to put the Nato on when snorkeling?

Only advice I can give you is to skip the trip to Hana. The drive there was horrible...

Haha, I would recommend the opposite. We loved road to Hana. If you are going to Haleakala, check to see if they still require reservations.

Haha I tried. Went to the AD near the Airbnb but no stock of course.

Thank you! I got the olive NATO hoping it would go somewhat together. It does make the watch rather tall though considering the thickness of the Milgauss already.

Milgauss brothers! I haven't tried any other straps on it yet. I have bought Rubber B and Everest rubber straps for some previous Rolex's, but I always end up putting them back on the bracelet, so I am probably going to forgo any expensive strap options for now.

I am not super familiar with that specific area, but depending on what activities you like to do, I would always suggest snorkeling. The warm waters of Hawaii make it feel like your taking a bath, and the water is so clear you can pretty much see the bottom (assuming you aren't in super deep water). The Road to Hana is a big thing there and the drive is honestly easier than people lead you to believe.

The pictures of snorkeling with the bracelet were taken right after we got settled in the Airbnb. I couldn't wait to get in the water, so I just went in the water without touching the watch.

Honestly the drive isn't that bad. It's the 3rd time I've done it and this time I rented a 4-door Jeep Wrangler. I think it helped that the island wasn't very crowded while we were there (we just missed the spring break crowd), so we didn't have much traffic on the drive. Just gotta pay attention and its no problem.

Same! Also, if you want to visit the Black Sand beach, it requires like reservations 2 days in advanced. We learned that the hard way when we were turned away at the entrance (the Black Sand Beach was our end point, so we just did a few more stops).

Love Maui! Was able to secure both my 116710BLNR and 114060 from there.
