$25,000 3 watch Collection

Submariner
DJ, fluted bezel and Jubilee
Seamaster Diver 300m

I’d prefer the Speedmaster Pro Sapphire Sandwich, but I don’t think it fits in the budget, so I went with the Seamaster instead.

Seems like a solid plan. A 5 digit sub would also work.

I’d bump the budget up a wee bit and go with a fluted bezel on the DJ for a more dressy alternative.

Whether or not you take my suggestion, still a solid collection either way!

So I have a 124060 and am waiting on a DJ41 126300. I think they will work well together.

Funny, this is almost exactly my plan as well, only difference being I want the DJ41 blue dial smooth bezel on jubilee bracelet. I have the Sub, and previously had a hesalite speedy. I always said if I get one again it would be the sapphire sandwich. This, plus 2-3 beaters (Seiko divers, etc) are in my opinion, a really great collection.

I'd probably go:

Beater: Apple watch
Daily/Office: BLRO Jubilee
Weekend/Special Occasions: Daytona

Are we playing "at retail"?

1. Daytona 116500 white dial
2. Tudor BB54
3. Movado M95 (maybe gold), or vintage Zenith chrono in gold, something vintage, dress, $5000 range

This but change the DJ41 to fluted with jubilee. Otherwise it’s too similar to Sub and you’ll just wear the sub.

This is what I'm heading towards:

Sub 114060
Datejust 126234 (fluted, jubilee, silver)
Speedmaster Pro Tokyo Olympics (reverse blue panda dial) - will source this at some point in the next couple of years

I'll have more than three but those three would cover pretty much all bases for me.

That would be a solid 3 watch collection IMO. I'd also want fluted/jubilee though.

Brian, what are your thoughts on dials other than black?

I love any color dial ... as long as they're black

Seriously though, I've tried other colors over the years, and for some reason I always gravitate toward black. I guess its classic and timeless (to me).

If the OP wants to add color, I'd maybe do that via a bezel such as the BLRO. Just my

Interesting perspective, Brian. I am currently in the market for a DJ. I've been constantly switching between bright blue and white dials.

I will say I don’t feel comfortable with light dials. Perhaps they are too bright for me. I feel so much more comfortable with a black dial. I thought I’d ask because I know your three are all black.
