Is this a normal 2021 warranty card?

Planning on buying a 2020 Daytona, wanted to ask is this warranty card looking fine or it's cause for concern? No name, couple of X's instead.

Thanks!

You're in Europe and I'm in the United States, but having said that.... my Rolex was manufactured and purchased in 2021 and my warranty card does not look at all like that. In 2020, Rolex started phasing out putting the purchaser's name on the warranty. Here's mine, with the serial number blurred out. And, yes, the AD wrote the date incorrectly. It was purchased on May 22, 2021, which in the States is written as 05.22.2021, but it was supposed to be written as 22.05.2021. I'm not concerned, because the card was swiped by the AD at the time of purchase, I have the receipt, and there is not a 22nd month.

The old Rolex warranty cards, like the one in your pic, started to be phased out in 2020, in favor of the new all green ones. so it could well be legit. Rolex stopped putting the customer’s name on the new cards, at the same time. Your card could be a transitional one, hence the X - X - X - X.

The X-X-X-X is simply at the request of the purchaser who did not what their name to be shown on the card. Some ADs leave it empty, others put a dash, that Jordanian AD put Xs.

The card itself is totally legit. The watch was purchased in February 2020, thus, both watch+card were likely produced in 2019.

Card looks fine but the watch looks kinda rough to be honest I'd want to take a look at it in real life first if it were me

Yes, bracelet seems to have some scratches, but for sure it's a previously-worn watch which would actually make me feel less stressed to actually enjoy and wear it myself. + It's the best priced one I could find in Europe with box and docs, couple scratches probably not a big deal. :) Can always polish it and make it look brand new imo.

Fyi - Rolex updated their warranty cards in 2020. Since you bought in 2021, you have the new and current style card and the OP has the old style card that was phased out in 2020. We see both old and new cards issued in 2020. Roughly speaking, old style cards up until June-ish and then mostly new ones the second half of that year.

The paint worn off from several of the numerals on the bezel would bother me, a bit, but the dial and bracelet look good.

Yes, I know. My answer was posted before the OP edited his original post. It originally said he was considering purchasing a 2021 Rolex (he apparently couldn’t edit the title/subject line).

If he has the original box, what’s with the wrong pillow? Do you have an authenticity guarantee?

Agreed

The seller could’ve put in a tiny bit of effort to clean it before taking photos

In all seriousness get that watch verified, I am certainly no expert however I see some red flags, one being the gaps and fit between the bracelet and lugs.

More then happy to be wrong.

Warranty card looks OK for a 2020 watch. Bezel looks dirty.

Bottom line, if there is a doubt there is no doubt. The watch may be fine but if you are having even the slightest doubt, move on to the next candidate.

There shouldn't be paint and it shouldn't wear off. It is PVD platinum on the real one.

The article in the pic is a knock off.

Yep. It is a real watch. Just not a Rolex.

OP if you're looking for the cheapest Daytona in Europe you just might find it.

You need to buy the seller. Find the cheapest Daytona (no box and papers for example) at a real trusted dealer.

Noticed that too at first, but realized it's the iPhone camera. Tried to take a photo of my Rolex I'm currently wearing, it does the same to text when photo taken from a distance. Noise reduction or some enhancements iPhone does.

I got more pictures in better lighting, bezel and paint numerals all look perfect, no paint off anything etc. Well, only one way to find out as watch is being delivered
