Megalopolis....another Coppola gamble...

Francis Ford Coppola has always been an incredible risk taker...which has something to do with the fact that he's made some of the greatest movies of all time. But.....also some self indulgent risky ones as well.

Anytime the words, 'urinates' and 'Shia LaBeouf', appear in the write up, I'm a little skeptical.

I couldn’t finish reading the reviews. It looks pretty terrible.

I’ll wait for the 5 hour directors cut.

Yeah, they seem "mixed".

Francis Ford Coppola owns a few wineries, in California and Oregon. One is Inglenook in Rutherford (Napa Valley) and one is the Francis Ford Coppola Winery in Geyserville (Sonoma Valley). The FFC Winery also has a restaurant (Rustic), and displays a lot of his movie memorabilia (awards, costumes, props, etc.). Francis and his wife Eleanor (who recently passed away) live in a beautiful old home that's on the Inglenook property.

To raise the money that he needed to make Megalopolis, Francis sold his ownership of the FFC Winery. And that's a shame because since it changed hands, it just isn't the same.

Nothing puts me to sleep on a long flight faster than a bad movie. Will keep these titles in mind.

Interesting local insight Kathleen. Thanks for sharing, but that’s a bummer about the winery.

Remarkable that Francis still puts so much on the line to make movies how he wants them. An artist.

Sorry, I cannot provide a paraphrased text right now due to insufficient quota.
