Flower Dial Tudor Black Bay Black

Gotta love the flower dial.

Set to be a rare collector's piece in years to come, now that it's a shield dial with in-house movement.

HAGWeekend everyone!

I still cannot understand why Tudor took off the rose when it seems that we all prefer it to the shield

I'm struggling with this one. I have the current black bay black (tudor rose dial) but it kills me that they are dropping the in-house movement into the watch later this year ...was actually considering flipping it for the new one from Basel

Keep the one you have. You've got the Rose on the dial, a nicer bracelet in my opinion, and a workhorse ETA movement that has stood the test of time and will be less expensive to service when the time comes.
Who knows, it may even become a collectors item one day due to it's limited production run.

Don't flip it buddy. Tudors have had ETA movements for decades... it's part of its DNA and heritage. Pure bred Tudors have ETA. It's the end of an era.

Has Tudor switched over to the shield on all models other than the ranger and ladies models?

Agreed. I've considered/am considering getting the rise as a tattoo. Tudor aside, think it's quite nice.

I want to go for the ETA, because I sees.. a 'precipitous' price drop coming, once the new in-house version becomes available.

Just got mine two days ago. Really like it so far. Glad I picked it up before they sold out and the new in house came in. Love how it was only produced for 6 months.

I think it's been said before, but I think if the bb was made under the Rolex brand, it would be their best selling model.

Just noticed... is the lume on the dial and hands a different shade than the lume on the pearl? Or just an illusion the gilt dial is giving off?
