Breguet 5920 photos

Hi All, it’s been about 18 months since I got my breguet 5920 and I wanted to share some photos. This breguet has a 34.5mm case which I find suits the design rather nicely. The breguet 516 automatic movement is based on the legendary frederic piguet 1150 that has been around since 1988.

Here's what the manual has to say: “The Classique watch is directly inspired by the work of A. L. Breguet. It embodies the principles with which he revolutionized watch design: purity of form, harmony of proportion and clarity of information, reflecting the ordered beauty of the movement within. Its features are the hallmarks of the Breguet style, from its finely fluted caseband to its hand-engraved “guilloche” dial. With its strong personality, your Classique represents the ideal face of time.”

Pros: understated 18K gold dress watch. Amazing attention to detail on the dial and case. It’s become one of my go-to watches. For a watch that retailed for $17k, they can be bought at a deep discount.

Cons: small crown can be a bit hard to wind. Servicing pretty much has to go through breguet. Some would say a non-hacking movement is a con but I don’t follow that camp.

Overall rating: It’s a keeper and hard to beat at this price point. I can recommend it.

It has a solid caseback which I like. I don't have any display back watches but some people say solid backs are more comfortable. Not sure if that's true or not.

Beautiful! And that strap (dark blue I think), looks fantastic!

Thanks All. Yes, the watch strap is navy blue. I don't think I would have chosen that color on my own since I normally go with black or brown or color 8. But this strap came with the watch so I've been using it. After wearing it the past few months, I rather like the navy blue and it has grown on me. It matches really well with the watch overall especially with the blue hands.
